Let's get on to the headlines: When state funding was earmarked for Télé-Louisiane's French language programming in 2022, things were looking up. With $250,000 in state funds, subject to annual approval in the regular session, LPB and Télé-Louisiane made a plan to air Les Aventures de Boudini et Ses Amis, which had been a digital-only French-language children's cartoon with stories relevant to Louisiana culture, history and language. But this year, something changed. In the final days of May, a week before the end of the 2024 legislative session, McGrew and his team learned that funding for these programs had been cut from the budget.
