Jazz Along the Charles is less than a week away! Get ready to join us for a spectacular afternoon of free music in one of Boston's most iconic public spaces. Jazz Along the Charles is a one-mile-long concert that you explore at your own pace, in your own way: linger to enjoy a particular band, or pound the pavement to hear all 25 acts! Join us to celebrate the Boston jazz community and our city's place in jazz history. The playlist -- played simultaneously by all 25 bands -- features a list of tunes by homegrown and locally-trained composers and bandleaders, signature works made famous by players from the area, tunes inspired by or featuring Boston, and a few surprises from other styles of music. Read more about the specially curated set list for this event and check out what curator, Ken Fields has to say about why he chose these selections! Saxophonist, composer, and band leader Ken Field curated a unique set list for Jazz Along the Charles, bringing together pieces and musical stories that showcase the jazz connection in Boston and the impact this city has had on the world of jazz.
