Bella had a bed at the back of the clinic where her food and water bowl were kept. She had another under the receptionist's desk, but we could usually find her curled up in a ball, sleeping on one of the chairs in the lobby.

I had a habit of patting Bella on the head, which I think she hated. I've always been more of a dog person. Perhaps Bella sensed that, which is why she didn't like me. The few times I petted her with nice, long strokes along her back, she turned and swatted at me. And I'm almost positive she had her claws out. (Keep reading)
