Ben Kruger's final appearance as Okkie Ferreira on kykNET's (DStv 144) Binnelanders will air on Tuesday at 19:30.
The veteran actor died from Covid-19 complications on 26 May. He was 64.
Speaking to Huisgenoot, Hannelie Warren - who portrays the role of his wife in the soapie - said she filmed eight scenes with Ben the Friday before his death.
According to the actor, Ben had a cough and was struggling to speak on set. "We literally had to film paragraph by paragraph," she said.
