They misbehaved as much as possible in the 1990s Maiden City, British troops policing the streets and the peace process still in embryonic form, decked out in dodgy double denim (it was cool at the time) with hoop earrings, attitude, scrunchies, chokers (again, once very de rigueur), espousing sweary language as they vie for snogs and sambuca, flutter their eyelashes at designated ‘rides’, crash house parties, and pursue all manner of teenage kicks.
