A Nov. 9 email from Wauwatosa City Administrator Jim Archambo called on public employees not to decorate their workspaces with religious Christmas imagery, including the use of red and green colors, in a bid to be "more inclusive." However, the Wisconsin city faced backlash over the memo, including a demand letter from Liberty Counsel. A study from the Pew Research Center shows Americans have a growing distrust of scientists and the impact of their work on society but still value government investment in the field. While nearly three-quarters reported having at least some confidence in scientists to act in the public's best interests, just 57% said science has had a mostly positive effect on society.
