Barrelhouse

Barrelhouse in West Akron has a dining room segregated from the bar area, with an intriguing draft selection, great wine list and menu. The build-your-own burger option is always a standby. Albino Stout at Banter

“Albino” stouts don’t drink like a proper stout or porter. They’re more golden, slightly hazy with a nice head and medium body. This one drinks like a coffee cream ale with lilting notes of light-roast coffee, caramel malt (which plays a bit like Werther’s Original on the palate) and vanilla on the nose. Our latest pint of it came at the new Banter in Gordon Square, along with their Polish Boy. CHEERS
