In a shocking development, founder and CEO Changpeng "CZ" Zhao has stepped down from his role at Binance, following a guilty plea in U.S. money laundering charges for the leading exchange. The deal includes a $4.3 billion fine for Binance and a $50 million fine for CZ himself. Hopefully the DOJ can claim a political win, and the industry can now move forward. (UNI is up on the news.)
