Letter from the editor:

It's the end of the year and our annual best of lists are starting to emerge. You can read about our picks for the top shows in Brooklyn, NYC, Los Angeles, US, and even our favorite books of the year (I'm kicking myself for not including Anne Anlin Cheng's Ornamentalism among the picks, but there was quite a bounty of goodness this year).

Stay tuned for our top international list, and a few others, as well as the return of our Powerless list, which was on hiatus last year but will be back better than ever this month.
