Windows 11 can now use AI to respond to your text messages
|
Microsoft's Phone Link app just made answering messages easier with Suggested Replies
|
If AI-powered text suggestions for quick replies to messages sounds useful, then you’ll be pleased to know that Microsoft is now rolling out such a feature for the Phone Link app, Digital Trends reported. The new feature, called Suggested Replies, uses Microsoft's Cloud AI models to create short replies to specific messages. It’s rolling out in Phone Link version 1.24082.137.0 for Windows 11 24H2 and 23H2. Take note: You won't see Suggested Replies on all messages, for example, suggestions won’t show if the message is too long, if you get a message with offensive content, or if it’s an OTP (one-time password) message ... |

Hisense 110 UX TV review: Big, bright, and bragworthy
|
The Hisense 110 UX isn’t perfect but is still a brilliant option if you're after a TV that breaks the 100-inch barrier |
In its in-depth review, Digital Trends has a lot of good things to say about the Hisense 110 UX, and for a TV that costs an eye-watering $20,000, you wouldn’t want it any other way. The 110-inch whopper is “one hell of a performer,” with unprecedented brightness, excellent black levels, superior blooming/halo control, vivid and accurate colors, and impressive off-angle performance. But the Hisense 110 UX “doesn’t get everything right,” and is judged less well for its highly reflective gloss screen, and audio that feels like it should be better than it is. And if you're wondering how the heck you unbox something this big, then we have a video just for you ... |

Salem’s Lot review: a bloody, disappointing Stephen King adaptation |
'Max's new Salem's Lot adaptation tries to do too much, and ends up doing very little right' |
Writer-director Gary Dauberman's affection for the film's Stephen King-penned source material is abundantly clear in this adaptation, but he loves King's original novel so much that he “struggles to narrow its expansive, gothic American scope into a compelling, streamlined two-hour narrative,” Digital Trends said of the movie, which started streaming on Max yesterday. Sadly, striking visuals, some effective jump scares, and Bill Camp's standout supporting performance are not enough to save it. “It’s a fun, zero-calorie thriller that clearly has a lot of love for the vampire-horror subgenre, but its bite is barely sharp enough to pierce flesh, let alone draw blood,” Digital Trends concluded ... |

Twitch is adding two new categories, one for LEGO fans
|
The new additions cater to the growing interest in artistic communities on the popular streaming platform |
Twitch has added a couple of new categories to its streaming catalog: LEGO & Brick Building, and Miniatures & Models, Game Rant reported. The LEGO category brings together those showcasing their building skills and creativity, while the Miniatures & Models category is aimed at artists who like to display their painting techniques on figurines. Twitch occasionally responds to audience trends by launching new categories, for example, earlier this year it added a DJ category that lets DJs show off their work live, with more tailored copyright policies ... |
