Lowes Foods expands S.C. market

Alex Lee Inc. is converting Bi-Lo stores across the state into Lowes Foods, including locations in Greenville, Columbia and Charleston. The Lowes Foods chain employs about 9,000 people at 74 grocery stores in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Peace Center postpones Broadway season

Greenville’s Peace Center has rescheduled its Broadway lineup including Hadestown and Hamilton this fall and spring in hopes that shows will return full swing in early 2021.

Former IT security director sentenced to 2 years in prison

Terry Shawn Petrill of Myrtle Beach sold network switches intended for Horry County use to third parties, according to the U.S. attorney. Petrill pleaded guilty to theft of federal funds and also must pay back more than $340,000.
