| California voters: Parents should be informed | | A survey from Rasmussen Reports shows that 84% of likely voters in California would support a law requiring schools to notify parents about "any major change in a child's physical, mental, or emotional health or academic performance." Just 12% said they would oppose a parental notification law. Sixty-two percent said they would be "more likely" to support it and 46% said they would be "much more likely" to support it if the law included requiring schools to tell parents that their child identifies as the opposite sex.
