Following this warning, the US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin informed the Senate Appropriations Committee that the US had already paused a shipment of payload munitions to Israel, citing concerns directly related to the situation in Rafah.

This cutback in support from the US, our historically steadfast ally poses a great challenge at a critical time. The US has been a key supplier of military aid to Israel, and a reduction in this support benefits Hamas and other enemies looking to destroy Israel.
