Big layoff: The state’s largest hospital system announced this morning it would cut its workforce by nearly 800 positions. Ochsner Health plans to lay off people across its 42 hospitals and more than 200 urgent care centers in Louisiana and Mississippi, Stephanie Riegel reports. The culprit: Soaring health care costs.
