Recall money: The organizers of the effort to force a recall election for New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell have filed another finance report, showing what the campaign is spending its money on, and where that money is coming from. Matt Sledge has the latest.
OT, first-class flights: There are some new developments in another political story out of New Orleans, that of an NOPD officer formerly assigned to the mayor’s security detail. Mike Perlstein at WWL-TV has that one.
Saints on the move: The Saints have made some moves to address holes in the roster. A new running back is on board (and he just happens to be the reigning NFL touchdown champ - BOOM!). And there are a couple of new defensive tackles. Our sports team has a handy free agent tracker so you'll be able to sift through chaos. Green eats: Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day, and a lot of folks will head out to block parties around the metro area. One popular meeting place, Finn McCool’s Irish Pub in Mid-City, has made some big changes to its kitchen, our food guru Ian McNulty reports. And, of course, lots of frothy, delicious Guinness, amirite . . . For even more food and drink coverage, please sign up for our Where NOLA Eats newsletter.
