Don’t Miss Out! Verte — our annual gala that is responsible for raising one-third of our operational budget — had been slated for April 25th, but we chose to cancel the event to keep our community safe in the face of the coronavirus. While we're saddened to miss all of your smiling faces coming together to support our students' dreams for a greener future, we're confident that — with your help — we'll be able to overcome these difficult funding challenges. If you're able to support Grades of Green, please do so today. A Great Way to Support Grades of Green? One of the biggest highlights of Verte is our incredible auction! We have been hard at work locking in more than 50 amazing items and experiences to include in our online auction, launching next Friday, May 22nd, at noon PT. The following are just a few of the great auction items we have in store, so set your calendar to get your bids in before the auction — and the unbeatable deals! — are gone. Together, this network found unique solutions to reduce plastic in communities all around the globe. For their amazing work, Justin and the rest of the Parallel Projects team just won a $500 Eco-Grant from Grades of Green during last year's campaign! Learn about Justin's Award!
Eco-Leader Perise to Addresses the UN on World Oceans Day Perise, a Grades of Green student from Uganda and a key member of Justin's Parallel Projects, will be speaking at the United Nations' virtual World Oceans Day event on June 8th! We were so proud to nominate him for this opportunity because we've seen the impact he's had on his community's desperate plastic pollution crisis. It's been amazing to help him connect with partners like Justin, living half a world away.
