Hey There, If you’re anything like me, you’re thinking about what you want to accomplish in golf this summer. My past two seasons on the PGA Tour, I’ve learned a lot about exactly how the best players set goals and pursue them. Just because I won three times by age 21—only Tiger Woods was younger by the time he raised three PGA Tour trophies—some people think I came out of nowhere. But I turned pro at 15, and so I’ve seen and been through a fair amount in this game. For this Golf Digest May cover story, I sat and talked with their writer, Chris Jones, and discussed what I think have been my most important revelations. I don’t like sharing too much of what I’ve found through hours and hours on the range, but I will say this: focus on all the little details and they add up faster than you might think. With this mentality, I believe I’ll be in my playing prime when I’m 28 or 29. Maybe yours will come at a different age, but you need to come up with a plan now. Best of luck this summer, and for the many to follow, Tom |
