WashU Offers Free Bike Registration via Project 529

Recognized as a silver-level Bike Friendly University in 2017, WashU supports cyclists and seeks to expand the use of bicycles among its community. WashU is reinforcing this commitment by transitioning to a more robust bike registration system through Project 529, the industry’s first mobile-based program designed for college campuses. Bike registration consists of recording important information about a bike in order to facilitate its recovery, should it be lost or stolen. Upon completion of the registration form, the bike owner receives a shield that must be affixed to the bicycle frame. In addition to serving as a theft deterrent, bike registration facilitates enforcement of bike parking rules, and also provides a method to easily communicate and educate the campus biking community. A truly win-win system! More >>
