BY DOUG GRAHAM | Staff writer The One Big Beautiful Bill, President Donald Trump's far-reaching main policy agenda, checks in at nearly 900 pages and sets out a spending plan and tax cuts that will affect health care, taxes, social safety nets, immigration and more across the country. In Louisiana, one area that will see a major impact is Medicaid. The state has the second-highest percentage of residents on Medicaid in the country, with one-third of the population enrolled in the program. Experts estimate that 267,550 Louisianans could lose their Medicaid coverage over the next 10 years because of the changes. Read about other effects the bill will have on Louisiana.
