Biometric Update week in review
Noteworthy this week is progress towards enabling digital identity use with biometric authentication in Pakistan, as well as a potential global standard for digital health passes. The IBIA has gone on the offensive, using NIST data to dispel misconceptions around face biometrics. Good news and progress could be overshadowed, however, by potential harms from digital ID databases falling into the wrong hands in Afghanistan, while Facebook and Clearview are facing legal challenges.

The week in review continues below. Thanks for reading.
