The price of bitcoin fell this week, dropping from the $6,900 range to the $5,900 range before bouncing back above $6,000 to open April.
With global uncertainty and mining operation shutdowns throughout the month of March, the Bitcoin hash rate fell before rebounding slightly to start April.

On this day just last year, Bitcoin Magazine reported on developer Felix Weis's demonstration of the first-ever Lighting-enabled Bitcoin ATM at Hong Kong's Lightning Hack Day.

"Weis's ATM — for which he designed the Lightning-enabled software but not the physical machine — offered the option to receive bitcoin either on-chain (requiring a roughly 10-minute confirmation time) and then prompted Weis to scan his Lightning invoice," Michael Taiberg wrote at the time. "A Lightning-enabled Bitcoin ATM as demonstrated by Weis could provide several key advantages over its predecessors."
