Meet the ride-hailing app exclusively for black cabs

Discovered Gett yet? This handy app offers a seamless and — let's face it — pretty darn stylish way to travel around the city, in the comfort of a black cab.

Why black cabs, you ask? Well, apart from the fact that you won't find a more iconic mode of London transportation, they offer unparalleled peace of mind. Each driver is TfL-licensed and super knowledgeable, plus their ability to use the bus lanes means you can typically reach your destination quicker than via other ride-hailing apps. What's more, the cars are more spacious than your average taxi, seating up to six passengers, with room for buggies, wheelchairs, luggage and even pets.

But gone are the days of peering through the rain for a promising flash of orange — with Gett, hailing a black cab takes just a couple of taps. There's an E-Black Cab option for a more eco-conscious ride (which comes with the added bonus of a glass sunroof), and you can choose to book up to 30 minutes in advance, or hail your ride instantly, with the average wait time being just four minutes in central London. You can track your journey in real time, and even pay automatically via the app — no rummaging for that wallet required!
