Hello,

Monday lunchtime is when we recap the headlines you might have missed at the weekend.

Police have confirmed a body has been found by emergency services after a large fire destroyed a derelict church in Preston.

An investigation has been launched to identify the deceased and establish the circumstances surrounding their death.

Elsewhere, a top doctor at the Royal Preston Hospital has told us it needs to be replaced for the sake of patients and staff.

Emergency medicine consultant Michael Stewart was speaking to us as local NHS leaders await a decision on their pitch for the cash to fund brand new hospital facilities for both Preston and Lancaster.

In some heartwarming news, a family from Preston have been handed the keys to a brand new home that they won in a charity prize draw.

Charles Maughan and his partner Kerrie Moir were declared winners of the Great Big House Giveaway, which has raised £460,000 for Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley.

We’ve also got the best of PNE’s last gasp win against Middlesbrough at Deepdale, including those ever-popular fans pictures.

Thanks for reading,

Adam
