Boeing could be near decision on moving 787 assembly line

Boeing S.C. says that no official decision has been made about moving the company’s 787 operations from the Seattle area to North Charleston, but Reuters is reporting that the company is getting ready to shift final assembly operations exclusively to South Carolina.

Clemson creates alliance for Appalachian nurses

In partnership with the Center for Research on Health Disparities, Clemson University’s School of Nursing has launched the Appalachian American Alliance of Nurse Practitioners to extend grants, professional development and continued learning opportunities to nurses in the region.

Upstate Giving

Employees of Greenville’s TD Bank celebrated the 50th anniversary of Earth Day with a $10,000 donation toward TreesUpstate, while The Dollar General Literacy Foundation will offer $68,000 in grant money to 25 South Carolina literacy groups. Upstate grant recepients include Honea Path Middle School, Lead Academy Public Charter School and Woodside Elementary, to name a few.
