Good evening,

Good evening,

Look out the window folks, there’s something new on the horizon. Street Talk understands private equity interests behind low-cost airline Bonza are weighing up whether to bring in new capital partners to back its expansion into a full-scale domestic carrier.

Miami-based private investment firm 777 Partners has been in discussions with local advisory firms as it seeks assistance with inbound interest in the airline. Sources said the PE group is eyeing a $100 million valuation on Bonza, which launched only this year.

Elsewhere, we check in with Lithium Power, which is facing some uncomfortable questions about the value of its Chilean licences. Apart from an update on the $30 million sale of a subsidiary to Albemarle, it has been radio silence from the lithium explorer since April.

Back on home soil, it’s early days for Star Entertainment’s refinancing but the deal is shaping up as one of the year’s hottest, with plenty of interest from major credit funds. And in people news, ex-Antipodes portfolio manager Sunny Bangia has been spotted entering PAC Capital’s Macquarie St offices.

Happy reading,
