River Cruise Business Is Booming

River cruise bookings continue to soar with even more new ships, destinations, and itineraries slated to debut in 2024. Virtuoso, for example, is seeing a 27 percent increase in river cruise sales year-to-date for 2023 when compared to full year 2019. According to Virtuoso’s Vice President, Cruise Melissa Araya, “River cruising has gained momentum due to its diverse destination choices, ease of access to major cities, luxurious amenities, scenic routes and comprehensive accommodations.”
