BUSINESS GATEWAY CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
30th April 2020

The government has unveiled a new loan scheme which will allow small to medium sized businesses to borrow between £2,000 and £50,000 and access the cash within days.

The loans will be interest free for the first 12 months with loan terms up to 6 years. The government is working with lenders to agree a low rate of interest for the remaining period of the loan.

Applications will be accepted from 4th May.

Third Sector Resilience Fund Now Open


The Third Sector Resilience Fund (TSRF) is a £20m emergency fund for charities, community groups, social enterprises and voluntary organisations working in Scotland. The fund offers grants of up to £75,000 with a further £5 million available in fully flexible, 0% interest loans starting at £50,000

Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme


All you need to know about the governments Job Retention Scheme where employers can claim 80% of wages for employees on temporary leave (“furlough”).

Small Business Support Grant


Small Business Support Grant Applications are already being processed by Fife Council’s Rates Team who are working hard to support Fife Businesses by helping them maintain cashflow. With applications being approved, if you’ve not already, why not check to see if you are eligible.


Business Rates Support for Fife Businesses

The Creative Sector


To help support the country's creative industries against the impact of COVID-19, Creative Scotland has launched three funding programmes
  1. A Creative Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund
  2. Screen Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund
  3. Open Fund: Sustaining Creative Development - aims to enable organisations to explore ways of working that will help them to adapt and respond to the current changing circumstances.
