Warmest thanks for your support this past year, from all the team at Bowel Cancer Australia.

Because of you, we can continue to provide patients, loved ones, family and friends with a place to find support and resources; building communities through shared experiences and creating a powerful voice for change.

Because of you, we relentlessly champion what matters most to people affected by bowel cancer and make real change happen across the entire continuum of care.

Because of you, more people than ever share our vision. To have an everlasting impact on our health future - where no Australian dies from bowel cancer and all those diagnosed receive the support they need.

Together, we’re not just imagining a world without bowel cancer. We’re helping to make it a reality.

Imge of two women with the words Be A Champion For Change

What can you do to help us close the gap in bowel cancer care this World Cancer Day (4th February)?

Every single one of us has the ability to make a difference, large or small, and play our part in creating a (bowel) cancer-free world.

This year’s campaign is all about understanding and recognising the inequities in cancer care.

Including inequities in the level of support bowel cancer patients receive, care experiences and health outcomes for patients with young-onset bowel cancer, and access to new bowel cancer treatments.

World Cancer Day is also about challenging the status quo and helping reduce stigma; listening to the perspectives of the people living with cancer and their communities and letting those lived experiences guide our thoughts and actions.

Everyone deserves access to cancer care. The time to act is now.

Find out how you can get involved this World Cancer Day, become a Champion For Change, and help us to create a future without bowel cancer.

Bowel Cancer Australia welcomes the listing of Braftovi (encorafenib) on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) from 1 January 2022 as a treatment option in combination with Erbitux (cetuximab) for patients with BRAF V600E-variant metastatic bowel cancer who have not responded to a prior systemic therapy. Around 1-in-10 patients diagnosed with metastatic bowel cancer have the BRAF mutation.
