Together, with your help, we can build a path towards a cure.

Bowel Cancer Australia needs your help as we aim to raise much-needed funds for young-onset bowel cancer research to help build a path towards a cure.

Young-onset patients are more likely to be diagnosed at a later stage when bowel cancer is more difficult to treat.

Almost 11% of all new bowel cancer cases occur in people under the age of 50.

Each year 1,680 young people hear those four words ‘you have bowel cancer’ and sadly 290 young lives are lost to the disease.

That’s why Bowel Cancer Australia is raising funds to support young-onset bowel cancer research because we need to find answers as to why rates are on the rise.

Bowel cancer is the deadliest cancer and the sixth leading cause of death for Australians aged 25-44.

We need answers. Now.

Bowel Cancer Australia is focused on funding promising, high-impact, young-onset bowel cancer research endeavours to help improve our knowledge and understanding of this disease.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Bowel Cancer Australia this Christmas to help build a path towards a cure.

Losing a partner is challenging at any point in your life, but to be a widow with two young children in your early 30’s is particularly difficult.

Abbey’s warmth shines through in this episode of The Bottomline Podcast as she discusses with Stephanie her husband, Marcus’ shock bowel cancer diagnosis aged just 34 and how they navigated the next 12 months together, making special memories with their very young children before his passing.

Taking strength from Marcus’ positive outlook on life, and the motto of living each day with kindness and gratitude, Abbey is learning to move forward, keeping her husband’s memory alive for her children but forever reserving a small part of her heart for her soul mate.
