G'day,

Tom Oxley, the Australian-born chief executive of brain chip company Synchron, has praised Donald Trump for having a “positive impact” on the medical device sector during Mr Trump’s previous tenure as US president – and is hoping he will revive his old policies.

Airwallex founders will give 1 per cent of the company – or $US56m ($84m) worth of its shares – to charity and programs aimed at supporting the next generation of innovators and start-ups.

A Brisbane start-up, which was contracted to send its robots into the Lhoist North American limestone mine to find out why it collapsed in 2021, has raised $2m.

The Australian's annual tech magazine, The List Top 100 Innovators, celebrating the nation's most innovative entrepreneurs was unveiled on October 18. Find out who's building the future in The List  online at theaustralian.com.au.
