"It's funny when you kind of look back now, and you think about, oh gosh, like my visa had issues, and it was the most devastating moment in my life. And it's funny, I can't even remember what the issue was anymore. So I feel like everything happens for a reason, and I very truly believe in that. So if things go wrong, it's fine." It certainly turned out fine for Kinjal Mehta. Losing her job and being sent back to India forced the Uber lead product manager to reassess her goals, setting her off on an unexpected career path.
