Welcoming the brand new small-ship, Douglas Mawson
AE Expeditions is excited to announce that the Douglas Mawson is joining our family of pioneering small ships in 2025 and will commence sailing during the Antarctic 2025/2026 season. Named after the legendary Australian geologist and explorer, the new ship is purpose-built for global discovery, taking on average 154 adventurers to the world’s wildest places. Features of the new ship include: - The latest and greatest Ulstein X-BOW® - offering superior stability and reducing fuel consumption
- A large variety of cabin types including single cabins
- Two Jacuzzis, outdoor heated pool and pool bar, gym and sauna
- Lecture Theatre, Citizen Science Centre and multiple observation areas
