Facebook Expands Uses of Its Brand Safety Controls

Facebook is making it easier for copyright owners to collect earnings on their content when it's published by other pages. The platform is also giving controls to advertisers so they can opt-out of their ads being delivered on claimed videos.

On the brand safety front, as part of Facebook's efforts to be more nuanced, it’s integrating two brand suitability controls into the reach estimates in Ads Manager, publisher allows lists and inventory filters.

A key issue in the brand safety debate is how it can hamper scale. Thanks to this, brands can make more informed decisions on what safety controls they use.

Check out David Cohen’s piece for the details plus how else the platform is cementing its ambitions in commerce.

In other news, this is also from David on one entrepreneurial dog food brand setting up a dogs-only Clubhouse Room.

Mars Petcare’s Pedigree dog food brand set up shop with the Pedigree Doghouse to raise awareness in dog adoption.

Howling.
