Death toll rises by 89

A further 89 deaths have been recorded in connection with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. 

It brings the death toll in Scotland to more than 5,400. 

Meanwhile, cases have also risen to above 1,600 in the last day.

Glastonbury has been cancelled for a second year in a row, it has just been announced. 

Music lovers had hoped the world famous festival might be able to go ahead in 2021 after it was forced to call off its 50th anniversary last year.
