BREAKING: Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of W est Virginia won’t seek re-election in 2024

Centrist Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia announced that he will not seek re-election next year.

Manchin’s decision will make it more difficult for Democrats to hold on to his seat as the party seeks to maintain control of the Senate in 2024.
