The Trump administration is directing federal agencies to prepare for "large-scale reductions in force," telling them in a new memo that they must submit reorganization plans by mid-March focusing on “initial agency cuts and reductions."

The cuts should improve service, increase productivity and reduce the budget, the memo said.
