  A federal grand jury has charged the two former Trump campaign officials with 12 counts including conspiracy and money laundering for transactions involving their business dealings with the Ukraine prior to joining the campaign in mid-2016. The charges are the first to emerge from special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election, but it is not clear the charges have any connection to Trump or the campaign.
