At least five Republicans asked Trump’s White House for presidential pardons after the Capitol riot, according to testimony from top White House officials shown Thursday by the Jan. 6 committee.

The White House discussed providing blanket pardons for any members who objected to the election results, according to testimony to the committee.

"The only reason I know to ask for a pardon is because you think you’ve committed a crime,” Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger said in the hearing.
