Moments ago, we were informed that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has just ended. Hamas initiated rocket fire towards southern Israel, abruptly ending the ceasefire that had been in place for a week. The Israeli government has accused Hamas of violating the agreement, which included the release of all female captives today, a commitment that was not fulfilled.

This event has led to renewed fighting in the Gaza Strip. The IDF has responded with airstrikes against Hamas targets following the rocket attacks. Palestinian reports indicate casualties and injuries due to these airstrikes. Efforts to extend the ceasefire and secure the release of additional hostages were unsuccessful. The IDF has stated that Hamas not only broke the ceasefire agreement but also launched rockets into Israeli territory, prompting a return to combat operations.
