  Irma weakened to a tropical storm early Monday as the massive storm rolled into northern Florida after hammering much of the state. Irma had maximum sustained winds of 70 mph, the National Hurricane Center said. As of 8 a.m. ET, the storm was centered more than 100 miles north of Tampa.
