A federal judge issued a temporary block on deporting Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian activist who helped organize protests at Columbia University. Khalil, who is a permanent resident with a green card, was arrested by federal immigration agents Saturday and was told his student visa was being revoked, according to his attorney.
