Former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., announced that he would withdraw his name from consideration to be President-elect Donald Trump's attorney general.

Gaetz would have faced significant headwinds in the confirmation process, including allegations of sex trafficking and sex with a minor. He has denied any wrongdoing and a Justice Department investigation into him ended without charges.
