The Labor Department reports the U.S. economy added 287,000 jobs in June, above expectations for 175,000 jobs. The unemployment rate rose to 4.9%. Economists expected an increase to 4.8%. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate rose to 62.7% from 62.6%.
