Film that features Skateistan in Kabul wins Oscar

Welcome to your monthly update of all things Skateistan! This month we're kicking off with news about Skateistan at the Academy Awards.

Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (if you're a girl), is a short documentary which follows the progress of a group of girls at Skateistan in Kabul. The film was awarded the BAFTA for Best British Short Film (Documentary) and the Academy Award for Best Documentary (Short Subject). Huge shoutout to Grain Media and A&E Networks for helping to tell our story.
