Skateistan's Culture of Safety

At Skateistan we operate a Culture of Safety. That means that we put the safety of our students and staff first in everything we do. As a result of the ongoing situation with coronavirus, and in accordance with advice from governments in all our locations, we’ve taken the decision to temporarily suspend classes at our Skate Schools until the situation improves.

Stay tuned on all of our social channels to stay updated with all things Skateistan. You will learn when we’re running programs again, tips on working remotely as a global organization during a global pandemic, and learn the story of Skateistan through daily posts.

International Women's Day: This is Laiqa's Story

This International Women's Day, we introduced our supporters to Laiqa*, one of our students in Kabul. Like the girls in 'Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone,' Laiqa is discovering how getting an education can change her life for the better.

*Laiqa's name has been changed in accordance with Skateistan's Child Protection Policy.
