BREAKING NEWS: Mid-Atlantic Manufacturing Activity Contracts in July

The Philadelphia Federal Reserve’s gauge of manufacturing activity in the Mid-Atlantic region fell to negative 2.9 in July from positive 4.7 the month prior. The Wall Street expectation was for a reading of 5.00. A reading above zero indicates expansion.
