Latest Covid-19 figures

The coronavirus figures for the last 24 hours have been revealed. There are 1,072 more cases since yesterday, and sadly 31 more deaths. 

It brings the total number of infections in Scotland since the start of the pandemic to 70,732.

Lockdown tiers system to be reviewed 

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed today the different lockdown levels in Scotland will be reviewed on Tuesday.

The Scottish Government will continue to 'closely monitor' the data so difficult decisions are based on 'the most up-to-date picture', she said.

Ms Sturgeon also suggested Edinburgh and the Lothians could be lowered from level 3 to level 2 if infection rates continue to stabilise.
