  James Hamilton inquiry LIVE: Scotland awaits verdict on Sturgeon's conduct  
     
  The independent investigation into the ministerial code, being conducted by James Hamilton QC, is expected to report this afternoon.

Nicola Sturgeon did not break ministerial code

That's the finding of the independent investigation into the conduct of the First Minister, released just minutes ago by the Scottish Government. 

James Hamilton QC said: "I am of the opinion that the First Minister did not breach the provisions of the Ministerial Code in respect of any of these matters.”
