Christmas 'bubbles' likely

'Slight and careful' easing of the Covid-19 rules could happen for a few days over the Christmas period.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said in today's briefing the Scottish Government is still considering the details and discussions are being made about household mixing.

Hogmanay restrictions not set to ease

Which leads us to Hogmanay, which the Scottish Government has revealed more on this afternoon. 

People should not expect any "particular relaxations" over the New Year Period, according to Mrs Sturgeon. 

The Scottish Government "can't do everything," she said, and "Christmas is hard enough".

Nicola Sturgeon confirms whether areas will move up a tier

The First Minister has confirmed today whether any authority will move up a tier. 

Concerns had been raised by local businesses around the potential of some areas in the Central Belt being moved to Level 4 - the most severe restriction level.
