113 patients moved from hospitals to care homes after positive Covid-19

Over 100 patients were moved from hospitals to care homes after a positive Covid-19 test in the first three months of the pandemic, new research has shown.

113 patients were discharged from hospitals to care homes in March to May after having had a positive Covid-19 test but no subsequent negative test, according to a report from Public Health Scotland.

Nicola Sturgeon came under fire for these figures in today's daily briefing.

Scotland's latest Covid numbers

A total of 28 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours as Scotland sees a rise of 1,202 new cases of coronavirus since yesterday.

A total of 60,403 people are now confirmed to have had the virus since the start of the outbreak in March.
